Karyn went into the next room to think of what to wish for. She couldn't decide specifically, so she held the rock and said, "I wish for the next week, I could easily persuade Jon to go along with any idea I suggested."
There was a flash, and Karyn thought of the perfect way to experiment with this new power she had. She ran back to the other room.
"All right, Karyn, what'd you change?" Jon asked.
"Um," Karyn thought quickly. "Your shirt, it used to be long-sleeved."
"And you changed it to short-sleeved?" asked Jon. "Really exciting, Karyn. Now, you had your chance, let me think of a REAL wish..."
"Jon, did you find a date for the dance this Saturday yet?"
"What?" Jon was taken aback by this random question. "No, I'm giving up, I've asked almost every available girl in school, and still nothing..."
"What about available boys?" asked Karyn, smiling.
"Boys? I'm not gay."
"I know, Jon, but you could just ask a boy out as a friend. They wouldn't have to be gay either."
"Straight boys don't really go to dances together, even as friends, Karyn."
"But what if you agreed to wear a dress and make-up to the dance, maybe then a boy would be more comfortable going with you. And I bet you'd have fun! Even though I'm a tomboy, even I like dressing up all girly once in a while... And you and your date would be dressed like any other straight couple at the dance."
Jon still seemed a little conflicted, but due to the wish, he was beginning to be persuaded that this was the best solution to getting a date.
"And to make it even easier, maybe up until the time of the dance you should only wear girls' clothes. You can borrow some of mine, not much will fit you, but I have a couple sundresses that will. We can go to my house, get you in one of those, and head to the mall to get you some of your own clothes!"
Karyn was getting excited and trying not to laugh with all the fun she had planned for Jon. Jon, seeing Karyn's excitement, was now getting excited himself, this somehow made sense to him, although he wasn't sure why or how.
They went down the block to Karyn's house, and Jon took off his t-shirt and jeans. Karyn allowed him to wear his briefs until he could buy some proper panties. He picked out a white and blue sundress from Karyn's closet and put it on. She picked out some shoes for him, which she knew would be to small, so she quickly whispered, just out of Jon's earshot while holding the stone, "I wish Jon's feet looked exactly like mine." She laughed at the sight of Jon's girly little toes and handed him the shoes. She made it a point not to change Jon too much physically, she wanted him to look like a boy in girl's clothes. But if he had to go through life with lady feet, it wouldn't kill him. One quick more wish, to wish that Jon had shaved his legs and armpits earlier, and little bit of makeup and some jewelry, and they were off to the mall.
