Karyn had never been in a fight before but thanks to her new found confidence she was sure that she could take the woman on, besides she was drunk. The woman got close to Karyn "this is none of your business pal, get out of here" she said and she pushed Karyn in the chest "No," Karyn replied "you leave that man alone" "make me" was the woman's response as she started to swing a punch at Karyn.
Karyn dodged the punch and then hit the woman with her own in the face. The fight continued for a while before Karyn emerged as the victor, the woman clutching her stomach gasping for breath said "fine, we'll leave him alone. Come on girls" and the 3 of them left the alley. Karyn approached the man and asked "are you alright?" the man nodded and said "yes. Thank you for saving me." "Oh it was nothing" Karyn responded "I'm sure you would've done the same for me" the man laughed and replied "I don't think so, I'm not that strong. But I would have called the police" Karyn smiled "let me walk you home" she offered "oh don't bother, it's just down the next street I think I will be fine thank you." The man replied "please" Karyn insisted "at least to make sure that those women don't come back" the man relaxed and nodded grateful for the assistance. "So what's a nice young man such as yourself doing out here alone at night?" Karyn asked "Oh you're such a charmer" he replied and Karyn grinned "I'm in town for a fashion show on Saturday and I was out with a few friends that I work with tonight. I thought I'd take a walk through the park as it looks so nice." The man said, Karyn nodded "So you're a model then?" Karyn asked "Yes, I am" he replied "So who do I have to thank for my rescue?" "Oh sorry sir, my name's Karyn" Karyn replied "Well thank you Karyn, and please call me Adam" Adam responded "So what can I do to reward you Karyn?"
"Oh you don't have to do that Adam" Karyn said blushing. "Please, I want to" Adam said "tell me, do you have a boyfriend?" "kinda, I guess" Karyn replied when Adam looked at her confused Karyn explained "we've been friends for years, since we were born practically. I only asked him out this afternoon, we plan on going out tomorrow night." "Aww, that is so sweet" Adam replied "here, I know what to do. How about you cancel your plans for Friday and then I can get you two tickets to see my show. "Really? I'm sure Jon would love that, he's been going on about that show for weeks and he was disappointed when he couldn't get tickets." Karyn said, Adam clapped his hands in delight "Well that settles it, I'll even throw in some VIP access so that the two of you can enter back stage and then maybe Jon was it?" Karyn nodded "maybe Jon would be able to try on a few of the clothes." "Adam," Karyn said "that sounds like a great idea. I can't thank you enough" "It's the least I can do in return for you saving me" he said. They reached Adam's house and they stopped outside and Adam said "I'll arrange everything, in fact I'll even get a limo to come and pick you up. If you give me your address then I can send it over with the tickets and then you can go and collect Jon." Adam fished out a pen and a piece of paper from his handbag and Karyn wrote her address down. "Thank you so much Adam, I'm sure Jon would love it" "I'm sure he will, and thank you again for saving me" Adam replied, he put the pen and paper back in his bag and then hugged Karyn and gave her a quick peck on the cheek before heading in to his house.
Karyn was beaming, what a stroke of luck that she had decided to walk through the park. Now she had a perfect date for Jon, she couldn't wait to tell him. Sure there would be a couple of bruises from the fight but she hoped that they wouldn't be too noticeable on Saturday, Karyn decided it was time to head home
