"I wish that Jon would swap roles with his mother." Karyn paused for a minute and then made another quick wish "I also wish that Zoe would swap roles with her father." The stone glowed confirming that her wishes were being granted "this should be interesting" Karyn thought.
"Hey Karyn! Have you made your wish yet? I want to guess what you wished for" a voice yelled from Jon's bedroom. "That wasn't Jon's voice" Karyn thought "that sounded more like his mom." She opened the door to see what her wish had done. Sure enough Jon's mother Linda was standing exactly where Jon had been standing when Karyn entered the bathroom, only now Linda appeared to wearing Jon's clothes and had her hair cut in the same way.
"So Karyn," Linda said "what did you wish for?" "Oh come on Linda, you know I'm not supposed to tell you. You should be able to guess all by yourself" Karyn explained "Fine" Linda sighed "Just give me a clue OK? Karyn agreed "OK, it has something to do with your family. Specifically; you, Jon, Zoe and Roger."
"hmm, ok" Linda said "let's see" she looked down at herself "I'm still wearing my favourite t-shirt and baggy jeans" she went over to her desk where there was a photo of the family on a recent vacation. "Jon's still my mom and Zoe is my dad and Roger is my sister."
Karyn had to stifle a laugh when she looked at the photo; Jon was wearing his mother's favourite sun dress and his hair was done up the same way as his mother liked, Zoe was standing next to him with her arm around Jon's shoulders and she was wearing a light blue polo shirt with dark blue jeans. Roger was wearing one of Zoe's signature goth outfits.
"I haven't got a clue Karyn, everything looks the same to the same to me." Linda said defeated "OK then," Karyn replied "let's make this a little more interesting. How about we leave things as they are for a week and if you can't figure it out, then I will tell you and you can do something just as drastic to me?" Karyn suggested "OK, sounds like a good idea" Linda said "but I haven't got any idea of what you've done."
