Karyn went in the other room and tried to think of a wish... She didn't like how women historically had been seen as lesser than men, and only in the past hundred years or so had they begun fighting to be treated equally. She thought it would be too easy to just straight up wish that women's and men's roles would be reversed throughout history. She wondered if she changed just one small aspect in the history of men and women how big a change it would make on everything else.
"I wish that throughout history, men had always worn dresses and skirts, while women wore pants. All other clothing should remain the same." she said. She had always thought that would make more sense anyway, anatomically. "I wish that men had been fighting for the right to wear pants too, and just today it was decreed that it was now legal for men to wear pants, just like women always had."
There was a flash. Karyn didn't feel any real change, after all, she was already wearing pants anyway. She wondered if men and women still had the same exact roles as they always had, or not. How could one small bit of lower body clothing change the world that much anyway? She decided to make one last wish.
"I wish that Jon was in the other room and was super excited to go to the mall to pick out his first pair of pants."
Another flash, and before she could make another thought, there was a knock at the door.
"Hurry up, Karyn!" called Jon. "Forget the stone, I gotta get to the mall!"
This could be interesting, she thought.
