Karyn walked into the next room and closed the door. She decided she decided to make a funny wish about Jon.
"I wish that whenever Jon tried to ask a girl out on a date, he would speak in a girly falsetto and introduce himself as Janet. I wish that he would then compliment the girl in the same way a girl would compliment another girl, not as a guy hitting on a girl would. Whenever he wasn't trying to ask a girl out he would talk and behave normally. I also wish that he would go completely back to normal once a girl agrees to go out with him."
There was a flash. Karyn had one last thought, "I also wish there was a dance coming up, and Jon wanted to go to the mall right now to see if he could find a date there."
Another flash, and she heard Jon call from the other room, "Hurry up, Karyn! I wanna get to the mall, we can play with the stone later!" Karyn smiled.
Twenty minutes later they were at the mall, and Jon was scoping out what he referred to as "the hotties". Karyn smirked, Jon didn't usually attempt to be macho, but she assumed all boys did to some degree. She let him ramble on about how sexy the girls were because she knew what would happen when he tried to talk to one.
Finally Jon picked who he would try first. A short red headed girl in a light blue spaghetti strap tank top and short jean shorts. Jon approached her, trying to be as suave as he could, but when he opened his mouth to speak:
"Heyyy! I'm Janet!" he said in a high voice, "OMG! I love that top! You HAVE to tell me where you got it! Anyway, we should like TOTALLY go on a date sometime!"
The girl looked confused at him, "Um, I got the top at Forever21... As for the date, I don't think you're my type..." and she hurriedly walked away.
Jon had no idea what just happened. He walked back to Karyn, who had overheard the conversation, trying not to laugh.
"Don't worry, Jon. You probably just got nervous, she was a really pretty girl. But hey, plenty more fish in the sea... Hey, try that one!" she said, pointed to a tall blonde in a flower print sundress.
Jon swallowed his pride and walked up to the girl to try again...
