As Karyn looked around Jon's slightly altered room, Jon was doing the pee dance pretty bad. Finally he said, "Shit Karyn, I can't wait, I gotta go!"
Karyn saw him dash to the hallway bathroom and close the door. She clearly heard the toilet seat drop down and then heard a rush of liquid as Jon emptied his bladder. She was sure he had sat down to pee, but WHY he did was a mystery to her. The changes to his room suggested it wasn't simply the power of the stone MAKING men sit down, something must have changed. Then she realized that thanks to her wish, now when she went to pee she would be standing up! Since she still had the same anatomy, she worried that she and all other women would now be pissing themselves!
As Karyn stood there thinking about her wish, Jon emerged from the bathroom properly relieved. He looked at Karyn and said "Sorry, I really had to go, we can do that wish now."
Karyn just said, "Umm wait, I....gotta pee too."
Karyn went to the bathroom and closed the door, dropping her pants and underwear. She closely inspected her groin and verified everything was still the same down there, just as she had wished. She turned to use the toilet and was surprised a bit to see it was different. The bowl was longer and it was further out from the wall.
Apparently, toilets were now made to be easier for women to stand over and pee into.
Testing things out he then sat on the modified toilet to pee and....she peed. She expected to be shocked or something, but instead she peed as she always had. When she finished she wiped and went back out to Jon.
Karyn looked at a confused Jon who was obviously wondering what was different. She said, "Well I think my wish came true, sort of."
"What was the wish?"
"I wished for women to pee standing and for men to pee sitting."
Jon looked befuddled, "Oh shit, that's you? Wow, I remember peeing sitting down since I was a kid. This is crazy!"
"But I just peed sitting like I always do!" Karyn said.
"The wish doesn't affect you! You don't remember the new reality. You see, we learned in 3rd grade history that long ago Queen Victoria of England made a decree for women's rights which covered the British empire. One of the mandates was that all women must pee whilst standing, and all men must pee whilst sitting."
"People are still following an old royal decree?" Karyn said with a weird look.
"Well not really, but it took hold back then, and after a while women WANTED to pee standing to assert themselves and chided their husbands when they peed standing. Eventually there became an engrained social stigma. When western plumbing spread over the world, the female stand toilets and the stigma spread with it. To this day it is considered very rude for a man to pee standing, and vice versa. It's kind of like masturbating in public, there's nothing physically STOPPING you from doing it, but you'd be really embarrassed if you got caught doing it."
Karyn kind of got it, but something else bothered her. "What about your room decor, it changed to be more feminine after the wish?"
"Feminine?"
"Yeah, you know.. girly"
Jon thought for a minute and replied, "Karyn, didn't you hear me? Women and Men are EQUAL, there is no such thing as 'girly', that term went out of style over a hundred years ago. You might as well have called my outfit 'dapper'.
Karyn was shocked at the ripples that came with a simple wish about peeing! "Wait, so you're saying there are no female clothes, no man clothes, no girly type shows and movies, etc?"
"No", Jon said, "Everyone wears the same style clothes just in different sizes, I don't know what you mean by 'girly' shows."
"You know, like romantic comedies."
Jon laughed, "Why would romantic comedies be girly? Both men and women are involved in romance TOGETHER silly! It's not like ONLY women are involved by themselves in romantic courtship and then a random man just shows up on the wedding day!"
Karyn realized Jon was in deep in this reality, he had no memory of what things like before the wish just a few minutes ago.
It was clear this stone made ripples in reality just like a regular stone makes ripples when thrown in a pond. She had to be very careful where she "threw" the stone next.
