"I had my sex changed when I was in my early 30's, older than most people, so I've had fewer pregnancies than someone who had theirs changed at your or Nurse Phoebe's age."
"How many children have you had?" asked Samantha. "If you don't mind my asking."
"I've had to make up for lost time, so to speak," replied Dr. Marsh. "But this is my fifth pregnancy. I've had two sets of triplets and this will be my third set of quadruplets. So these will be children 15 through 18." Samantha could hardly believe one woman having 18 children period, much less in such an unusual combination. "And this is hardly unusual.
