Running, literally, for his life, Jon scrambled across the floor and over his own clothes back to the stone. Seeing how large the rock was relative to his tiny body, Jon momentarily despaired--there was no way he could lift this boulder--it seemed twice as large as it was when he last saw it. Still, there was nothing to do but to try.
With a Herculean effort, Jon hefted the rock off of the ground--its weight of an ounce or two took a sizable fraction of Jon's strength, but he could still lift it. Unable to climb back over his clothes, Jon circled around and attempted to return to Karyn.
As Jon attempted to cross the now seemingly monumental distance to Karyn, the stone grew noticeably in his hands--an effect of Jon's continued shrinkage. As it passed half his height he was forced to set the stone down with a thud; he was unable to withstand the burden any longer.
"Jon, was that you?" Karyn's body was entirely invisible to Jon, as there were two aforementioned mountains of flesh now between them.
"Yes, I'm almost there."
Leaning over, Jon began rolling the stone along the floor--a job requiring significant effort, since the stone was not especially spherical. "At least it isn't sharp..." Jon assured himself. Time almost seemed to slow down as the task steadily increased in difficulty. A vague sense of deja vu wasked over Jon. Just as the stone passed his height Jon realized why--it seemed almost like the stone was a Katamari he was rolling across the room as it slowly grew bigger. With one great and final heave, Jon tipped the stone up and flipped it forward to roll it a final inch. The stone teetered on one of it's narrower sides, and then fell to a rest against Karyn's right breast.
With only moments to go, Karyn screamed, "I wish..."
