"C'mon, it's not like I won't be able to reverse the process afterwards--that was the whole point of wishing a process instead of a result in the first place."
Confused, Jon prompted Karyn to continue. "What do you mean?"
"If I were to wish you to be, say, some particular size, the stone would change it so that you were that size, and supply an explanation for how we got here, like it did with my breasts and hair. But if I say, 'I wish you'd shrink by six inches over the next six seconds,'..."
Jon's eyes went wide at the sudden increase in the amount that he would shrink--he then had a sudden sensation of the world shooting up around him. As this happened, Karyn wandered over to Jon's closet.
"Then I can always reverse the process by saying, 'I wish you'd grow four inches in the minute after your current shrinking processes ends.' Meanwhile, the stone, instead of inventing some reason for you to be some particular size, invents some reason for your size to change, like a disease, or a weird kind of radiation, or a superpower I never told you about that lets me shrink and grow people--and the clothes they are wearing--at will." Karyn grinned evilly at this last point, and set the stone onto the shelf at the top of Jon's closet. She had to reach nearly as far as she could to get the stone up that high--it was hopelessly out of reach to Jon's barely three foot form. Karyn kicked off her heels, then walked up to Jon.
Standing eye to navel, Karyn noted, "Surely there's something fun you've always wanted to try that we can do so that I can make this up to you..."
