His eyes drifted a little lower than her eye level, and said, sharply, "Karyn!"
Karyn, meanwhile, was still looking around the room. Just as she heard him call her name, she felt him rip the stone out of her hands.
"What are you doing?!? Trying to get us all in trouble? What did you do with your collar? Just because I let you wear those clothes sometimes when we're in private, doesn't mean you can try to find ways to remove. If someone notices, we'll all get trouble, and I'll lose you, and maybe Sarah, too. Then I won't be able to protect you." As he was saying this, Karyn noted the collar that Sarah was wearing, with the blinking LEDs in it.
Jon quickly continued, "I wish Karyn's collar was back around her neck."
Karyn reached up, and felt an identical collar around her neck.
Oh no, she thought. Did I remember to set a limit on this one, or was I too excited about getting revenge on Sarah for how she's used so many other people?
