Jon was in the middle of a very pleasant dream involving himself and Karyn, when the light went on, and his Mom's voice came out like a clarion, "Jon, what do you think you're doing?!?"
As he struggled to become coherent, he realized that there was a large weight on top of him, and it was shifting around.
Suddenly, he remembered what he and Karyn had been doing, and became very awake indeed.
"Oh my god, mom! I don't know what happened..."
His mom cut him off abruptly, "You don't know what happened?! I'll tell you what happened..." Karyn, meanwhile, had rolled off of him, and was trying to get both behind Jon and under at least a sheet.
"You're sleeping with your best friend under my roof. What makes you think I would find this acceptable? And you, Karyn. I thought you were much more level-headed. From time to time, I've wished that Jon was more like you. And now you had to go and do this. I hope you two at least used protection."
"I'm so sorry, Mom," Jon tried to get in.
At the same time, Karyn said, "I'm sorry, Mrs Smith. We didn't plan this at all. Jon fell down into me accidentally, and then he kissed me. And it just felt so good, I didn't think of what we were doing after that. Oh god, I'm so sorry; I've never been more embarrassed in my life."
