Jon got home in a couple of minutes. As he walked in the door, his mom called out, "Jon, is that you?"
"Yes, Mom. I'm just getting back from the mall. Karyn and I went to see a movie."
He walked into the kitchen, where his Mom was getting a snack. "Did you get her popcorn, dear?"
"Ugh," he said eloquently, turning around to head upstairs.
"Jon, what have I said about walking away from someone talking to you?"
"Sorry, mom. No, I didn't get her popcorn; it wasn't a date. Can I go up to my room, now?"
"Oh, alright, honey."
When he got to his room, and got into bed, he was reminded about the sheets. "Oh, yuck," he quietly muttered to himself. He reached over to his desk, and picked up the stone. "I wish nobody would notice the mess on the sheets, and that they'd come completely clean when they're washed."
With that, he drifted off, thinking of how the sheets had gotten that way...
