"My Dad is," said Jon.
"Your father got you pregnant?" asked Karyn, shocked.
"I'm a surrogate," said Jon. "I have an artificial womb implanted in my body. Its capable of producing eggs and carrying a child, just like a regular uterus. It doesn't have a vagina so that the penis doesn't have to be moved or removed; that's why I have to have a c-section. I can't give birth otherwise. And not just that; the womb uses the genetic material of the person with the womb to make the eggs. I'm not just carrying this baby. I'm the baby's biological mother."
