Elaine rolled her eyes towards Jim and said "Jim Honey, you're on vacation right now. Why don't you relax and spend some time with your friends. I'll talk to ELAINE and see if this is a real emergency."
Izzy wanted to say something to convince Jim to listen to her but Elaine grabbed her arm and pulled her out the back door and around the corner where nobody could see or hear them.
"Listen here you hussy. Someone upstairs agreed that I deserved Jim more than you! He's MY husband now and if you do anything to screw this up, I will find a way to make your life much worse!" Elaine threatened.
"You might have my body but you'll never be me" Izzy countered. She felt powerless about her situation, but she needed to do something.
"I'll never be you..." Elaine chuckled. "I don't need to be you when I can be the 'improved' you. Not only do I have Jim but I also have your younger body too. I always dreamed of marrying Jim, starting a family and living happily ever after. But with your biological clock and college degrees, I have so many more options available now."
Adjusting her glasses, Elaine continued. "I'm in my twenties again. I have plenty of time now to try a new career. Being a lawyer sounds pretty fun and if it doesn't work out I can always try something else... or I could just stay home and focus on raising that large family that I've always wanted. You on the other hand need to decide how easy or how hard your life is going to be. With you being 36... pushing 37 with a crummy degree from community college, you need to carefully consider your 'options' cause I can reduce what few YOU now have left. So what's it going to be 'ELAINE'?"
Izzy had a knot in her throat and felt as if her soul was shattered. "I'm sorry Elaine. It won't happen again..." she pleaded
"No. I'm not Elaine anymore. You are! Say it right." Elaine demanded as she grabbed a handful of fabric off the collar of Izzy's dress.
"I'm... I'm sorry... Izzy..." Izzy stammered.
"Close enough. God, I hate the name Izzy. Isabelle sounds so much less tacky. If you want to keep your job and be able to even see Jim, you're gonna get the hell out of here and keep your mouth shut. Do you understand?" Elaine demanded as she released her grip.
"Yes... Izzy... bell..." Izzy managed to say.
"Good. Now scram!" Elaine ordered.
Izzy was an emotional wreck and didn't know what else she could do, so she turned around and walked away utterly humiliated and defeated while Elaine watched her walk off with a smile of approval before heading back to the reception.
"Is everything okay?" Jim asked his apparent wife.
Elaine gave her new husband a quick kiss and told him "It wasn't very important. Elaine left to go take care of it."
