"What what?" replied Karyn. "Do you notice anything different about yourself?"
He walked over to a hall mirror, but everything looked normal. He was still a guy. His hair was wavy brown, not something strange like green or orange. He wasn't a Goth, or a crossdresser, he didn't have foot long fingernails or anything like that.
"I don't know," replied Jon. "I mean there's nothing really strange about me. Hmm, I never could swim. You didn't take away my ability to swim, did you?"
Karyn laughed. "No, that's not it."
"Well, what is it?"
"You're white."
"What?" Jon looked down at his hands as if he expected them to be covered with paint.
"No, you were Asian. I bet you don't even speak any Korean now."
"That's ridiculous," said Jon. "You mean I really wasn't like this all along? How can that be? And no, I can't speak Korean any more."
Karyn began to laugh.
"What's so funny?" asked Jon.
"Ha ha... Never mind. The time should be up around now."
Instantly Jon became Asian again, and then he groaned. "Karyn, I may be Korean, but I can't speak Korean. My family's lived here for generations."
"I know that. But you fell for it!" said Karyn. "Anyway, here's your stone." She gave Jon the stone back. "Now try it on me...."
