"It's your turn, Maryn," Karyn said to her twin sister.
"Is it?" asked Maryn (formerly Jack).
"Yeah. I went and made Jon into two people: Jay and Maryn. Then Jay made a wish and now it's your turn."
Jack had been turned into a girl and was made the twin of Karyn, but the original wish that created Jack and Jay couldn't be reversed, so Karyn actually changed too, becoming part of the Gibson family. She still looked mostly like herself, but there was more a Gibson family resemblance. So, after these two wishes, all three of them (Jay, Karyn and Maryn) were triplets. And because of the nature of the wishes, none of them really knew that this was a fabricated reality. Karyn thought that Jon was turned into Jay and Maryn, and that she was already Jon's sister. Maryn thought that Jon never existed, but that she was always Jay's sister and Karyn's twin sister. And, while he knew that Maryn wasn't really supposed to exist, Jay thought that he was really the twin brother of both Jack and Karyn.
Things were getting complicated.
