Jon's mouth dropped open as he slowly raised his hands to his face. Watching himself in the mirror in disbelief, Jon touched his huge nose. It wasn't just big, it was 'My god look at that nose!" attention getting.
"This better not be permanent." Jon declared to the still laughing Karyn.
"Nothing's permanent, that's the best part. Just like that song, ' you're just a kiss away, just a kiss away." Karyn sang.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, like the fairy tale frog prince, only better. Instead of a kiss changing you to the same dreary old prince, a kiss can fix anything."
"If you can fix my nose with a kiss, then I'm all yours." Jon said comically puckering up.
Karyn paused to consider for a moment, smiled, and leaned in to kiss Jon. Bonk! Jon's nose stuck out so far she nearly poked her own eye out trying to kiss him. Giggling, she instead gave him a peck on the cheek.
Jon looked back into the mirror and was immediately relieved to see that his face was no longer dominated by a huge nose. 'Thank goodness' was his immediate thought, followed shortly thereafter by 'wait a minute, that's not my nose!'. Jon now had the cutest little button nose. It would have looked great on a very petite girl, but on him it looked like half his nose was missing. Strangely the tiny nose also seemed to emphasize his cheek bones and make them look higher. In fact everything else on his face now seemed over emphasized next to the tiny nose. His lips looked bigger, his eyes looked bigger, even his lashes looked bigger. Strange that a mere nose job, magical or not, would have such a dramatic affect.
"Karyn!" Jon complained as he turned around.
"Let me see." Karyn said examining Jon's face carefully. "Oops, sorry." she said with a sing-song giggle. "Let me try again." Jon's tiny nose was no longer an impediment. Karyn leaned in and gave Jon a slow kiss on his full lips.
