Jon looked over towards Karyn, there was another girl talking to her. As Jon watched David sat down beside the girl.

"Mind if I sit here Caitlyn?" asked David.

"Go ahead, Karyn and I were just talking about how we should all go to the movies this weekend. I think there's some good movies coming out Friday." Caitlyn said.

"I'd be up for it," said Karyn. "How about you two?" Karyn looked over at Jon.

"You know me I'm always up for anything." said Jon.

"Great, it's settled, we'll pick out a movie tomorrow and look up times, they probably don't put them up until Thursday anyways." Caitlyn said.

Jon looked down at his lunch, it would seem in this new reality he had more friends then he was used to. How much had changed. Karyn was still around and he hoped that wouldn't change.

The bell rang in the hallway and the gang cleared their table and went their separate ways.

"Where are you running off to." Caitlyn came running up behind him. "You know we have band now. you're going the wrong way."

"Oh yeah, I'm sorry I was hardly paying attention. I'm having an off day." Jon said. "I need to stop at my locker first. I think I forgot my... music." Jon stammered.

"Okay, I'll see you in class then." Caitlyn walked away. No wonder Jon had no idea who she was. Jon had never been a part of band. he didn't know how to play an instrument. Jon pulled out his phone and called Karyn.

"Pick up, pick up. Hi Haryn, you need to do me a favour, apparently I'm in band now?"

"Yeah since elementary school. you play the clarinet remember." Karyn said.

"No, I don't. What am I supposed to do?" Jon had made it to his locker. insdie he noticed a folder filled with various papers. He grabbed them and shoved them into his bag.

"Okay, well. I could wish for something." Karyn said. "Hmm, let me think. I wish that Jon could play the clarinet like the best player in town."

Jon was rushing towards class trying to beat the second bell. "Thank you Karyn." Jon hung up the phone. his mouth felt weird. "Oh no." Jon rushed into the nearest bathroom. his legs swishing together rapidly. Jon looked into the mirror. What Jon didn't know was that the local symphony had recently brought on a French prodigy as their lead clarinetist. Jon looked at the large ruby red lips that adorned his face. In order to play like the best he would need to have the same mouth as the best.

This day was not going his way and everything he tried to have someone fix his mistakes they made it worse. Jon resolved to figure out this new world on his own without the stone and to figure out his issues. Karyn had told him how to fix his body, the lips he could live with.

Jon hurried into band class just as the bell rang.
