Karyn suddenly felt sorry about what she had done. She supposed that she was being a bit cruel to him. She certainly wouldn't like it if Jon forced her to become eleven.
She moved to comfort him, but what came next took her totally by surprise. Jon looked up, showing that he had no tears in his eyes (he was faking it!), and then he snatched the stone from her.
He smiled big, jumping up and down, thinking that he had beaten her. But Karyn still had a chance to get the stone back before he could even make one wish with it.
