"That depends on your point of view." Karyn laughed. "You are experiencing a small change, but it's a big small change."
"Is it big enough that someone else would notice it if they saw it happen?" Jon asked.
"Oh definitely. There would be no mistaking it." Karyn chuckled.
"Give me another clue." Jon demanded.
"Let's see... Do you remember the pickup basketball game from last week? Describe your winning play for me again." Karyn suggested.
"What does that have to do with ..."
"Just do it!" Karyn interrupted.
"Ok, there was time for only one more play and we were down by one point. I broke into the center, Billy shot from a three point position but the ball bounced off the rim. Jack jumped for the rebound but I out jumped him and tipped it in for the win. Now what does that have to do with anything?"
"You went up against Jack and beat him out on the boards?"
"That's right. Why?"
"Describe Jack to me." Karyn said.
"You know what he looks like." Jon said puzzled.
"Humor me and describe him." Karyn insisted.
Sighing, Jon described Jack. "He's about six feet tall, around one hundred seventy pounds, short brown hair, big nose..."
"Ok that's enough." Karyn interrupted. "And you beat him on the boards?"
"Yes I beat him on the boards, so what?"
"Now describe me." Karyn said.
"You're really cute, but very frustrating. You're about five-six and you weigh around..."
"Never mind how much I weigh." Karyn interrupted. "Do you think I could beat Jack on the boards?"
"You can do I lot of things Karyn, but you'd have no chance whatsoever against Jack in basketball." Jon laughed.
"Hmmm, you're probably right. Give me a 'high-five'." Karyn said holding her right palm stretched out above her head to be slapped.
When Jon went to high-five, he found that even jumping would not bring him close to reaching Karyn's palm waiting far far above him.
Karyn watched as Jon's expression of confusion slowly coalesced into a wide eyed understanding.
"Return Jon's memories of his previous self." Karyn intoned.
"Karyn!!!!" Jon yelled.
"Relax, relax! It's just a game." Karyn said.
All the yelling from Jon's room came to the attention of Jon's little sister who was supposed to be spending the weekend with a friend two houses over but had come back to get her toothbrush. Peaking through the keyhole, she saw a tiny little boy dressed in girls clothes. 'Strange, that almost looks like Jon.' She thought as she listend to Karyn speaking.
"It ok, I made it so you could be switched back to your previous state with a voice command." Karyn said.
"Well do it!" Jon demanded.
"Jon, switch to previous." Karyn intoned.
"What a relief!" Jon said. "Don't do that."
"I thought you were pretty cute." Karyn pouted.
Jon's sister caught her breath when suddenly the strange little boy became her big brother Jon.
"Did you hear something?" Jon asked.
Concerned that she might be caught, Jon's sister slipped back to her sleep over.
