"I wonder what will happen when you change back. That implant will mess up you male hormones big time."
Remembering what she had learned about hormones and their affect on teenage bodies, Jennifer turned a bit pale. "Maybe it will go away when I change back."
"Maybe." Karyn agreed. "I guess we will have to worry about it later."
"If you don't mind, Karyn, I'll worry about it now." Jennifer said, not meaning to be funny.
Further discussion was stopped as Mrs. Tanner arrived to take the girls to school.
During the half hour trip to the school Jennifer upheld her part of the conversation with an ease that she didn't feel.
As the girls got out of the car at the school, Mrs. Tanner said, "Here are your doctor's excuses."
"Thanks Mom." Karyn said as she and Jennifer accepted the excuses.
"Have fun girls." Mrs. Tanner said as the girls closed the doors.
"Mo-ther. This is school. We can't have fun."
Mrs. Tanner laughed and said, "See you at home tonight. Bye girls." With that she drove away.
The two girls made there way to the office where they met Mrs. Francis, the school's secretary.
"Do you girls have excuses?"
"Yes ma'am." Jennifer said, handing Mrs. Francis her note.
"I see you have the same gynecologist as do I." She said as she wrote Karyn and Jennifer excuses for missing class this morning.
