Jon had no other choice but to wait for Karyn to return home later tonight. As such he knew that he was stuck as a she for the rest of the day. She knew that until she could make it back to Karyn's house, everyone but Karyn and she would think that she was, and always had been a girl named Jennifer.

The problem was Jon was nearing the edge of his nerves. He wasn't sure how much longer he would be able to continue. Only that he had managed to act like a girl, when ever he didn't think about it, helped.

Jon had several hours to wait before Karyn got home. She knew she had homework to finish, so she got out her books and started doing her homework.

'I hope that this homework,' Jennifer thought about her Home Economics and Family Living 'will be changed to the homework in my regular classes.'

Jennifer was actually interested in both of these classes. 'I wouldn't have thought being a mother was so much effort. Got to thank Mom more often.' She concluded.

"Jennifer, time to help with dinner." Her mother called from the kitchen.

"Be right there Mother," Jennifer said, "I am just finishing my homework."

Jennifer signed her name to the homework and put it and her books into her back pack.

That done she headed down stairs to help her mother with dinner.

Dinner for Jennifer and her mother was different than dinner would have been for Jon and his mother.

First off, the two women worked together to prepare it, while Jon would have been anywhere else but the kitchen while dinner was being prepared.

Then the menu and quantity was different. Jon would have called it more 'rabbit food' but Jennifer found she liked the food. She already knew that she couldn't eat as much as did Jon, one of the few things that she presently really missed about being Jon.

As Jennifer helped her mother clean up after dinner, she gave her mother a big hug.

"What was that for?"

"I haven't told you how much I love you often enough, Mom." Jennifer said. "You are doing lots of special things for me. I do want you to know that I do recognize that and I do appreciate it."
