Saturday morning came, and as he promised, Jon went over to Karen's to get ready to help her aunt Beth and brownie troop sell cookies at the local grocery store.
"Jon, you sure you still want to do this, because if you want to back out, I will not be upset with you," Karen asked as he entered her house.
"Yeah, I am sure, it is either this, or going shopping with my mother, which I have no urge whatsoever to do. So when do we leave? And nice uniform by the way," Jon replied.
