"I wish Jon looked like one of the girls from school, clothes and all."
There was the urge to close the eyes just as Jon's mother walked into the room.
"Hello Karyn. How are you? Where is Jon and who is this," she said, indicating the third person in the room?
Karyn had been looking at Jon's mother but turned her attention to Jon. In his place stood a copper haired, 15 year old girl, wearing pink capris, a coral colored shell, and white flats. She had a hint of coral lip gloss and just a little blush to her cheeks. Karyn recognized her immediately, Shannon O'Reilley, a freshman from school. Jon/Shannon was trying to formulate an answer when Karyn spoke up.
"This is Shannon, a girl from school. Jon and I were helping her with a project she's been working on. Jon had to change so we were leaving."
Karyn grabbed Jon by his tiny hand and lead him toward the door. Jon turned and wave a goodby at his mother as they exited the house.
"What was that," Jon asked when they were out of earshot? Mom is going to discover that I'm not in the house , changing and wonder what is going on.
"Jon, I wish you'd just do as I say and behave yourself. I wish you'd just think of yourself as a freshman girl until I figure out what to do."
As they rounded a street corner, they almost collided with Tommy Burges and his friend Ralph Duor. The bad part was that Ralph had been telling everyone at school that he wanted to date Shannon, very badly. Ralph looked at Shannon and Shannon looked at Ralph, the sparks flew. Shannon couldn't help but see how her sudden encounter with Ralph was affecting him. Her fifteen year old, hormone fired body was sending fantastic signals to her brain, as well as other parts.
Karyn was watching this with keen interest, she wondered how Jon/Shannon would react to Ralph's advances.
"I wish Shannon felt about Ralph the way he feels about her."
Two miles away, the real Shannon was suddenly struck with the urge to see Ralph Duor. She wanted to see him very badly.
However, Jon/Shannon was handling things very well. He stepped up to Ralph and said, "I understand you want to take me out sometime".
"I sure do," stammered Ralph. "Would you like to go out with me?"
Jon/Shannon answered with a kiss that left Ralph literally breathless.
"Call me sometime. My parents won't let me actually go out on a date, but we can meet somewhere and have a burger or something", she said over her shoulder as Karyn pulled her down the street.
Jon, honestly, you acted just like Shannon. I wish you would....."
