Not to dwell on setbacks was one of the first lessons Mei-Lynns coach had instilled in her.
Loosing her precious memories hurt, yes. she reminded herself
So, what else had changed?
'I am Mei-Lynn. I was born in America. I am the daughter....daughter damnit! of R...Rrr.Rachel' so talking out loud wasn't an option. Apparently she could only talk about her past life when she was alone with Kevin or her doppelgÀnger. Not just when noone else was around.
But at least she could remember most of her childhood as Biff.
A quick check showed that all her knowledge of Football and cars was still there, so she moved on.
The memories of her past firendships and relationships seemed mostly intact, aside from being entirely G-rated now.
Dwelling on her memories of the showers after a game took a bit of effort, because it didn't feel right imagining a bunch of naked dudes. Which was a success as far as Mei-Lynn was concerned.
As she pondered what else to check, her gaze fell on the backpack sitting beside her bed.
As she got up to turn on the lights again, she noticed that she'd never bothered to close her fly after her little exploration was cut short.
After playing around with the zipper for a few moments, Mei-Lynn let the shorts fall to the floor. They were a bit too tight to make for good sleep-wear and there was something else she wanted to check.
After turning on the lights again, she padded back to the bed only to turn and walk back towards the lightswitch and back again. Her movements still felt off to her. Her feet hit the ground a heartbeat later than she expected, for example. And right now, with her alone and everybody sleeping, was her best opportunity to get familiar with her new form.
It had taken time before her football-uniform felt like a second skin, too. To take the broad shoulderpads into account when dodging around an opponent, or to compensate for the helmet interfereing with her peripheral vision.
And if she'd done it once she could do it again. She wouldn't give Kevin or Fake-Biff the satisfaction of tripping over her own feet in front of them like some klutz.
While she wandered around the attic to get a feel for her new body, Mei-Lynn took the opportunity to look herself over again. At first she contented herself with clenching her fists to see the play of muscles on her lower arms, letting a strand of her copper hair glide through her fingers and other relativly harmless things while she built up the courage to face the elephant in the room.
When one of her rounds across the attic took her past the bed, Mei-Lynn pulled her shirt over her head and threw it over the backpack.

Walking around in just her panties felt ...lewd, and not in a good way. Mei-Lynn told herself She had already gotten a pretty good look at her body back in the choir-room , but that had been on Kevins terms. Now she didn't have to worry about any unwanted audience whenever she stopped to take a closer look at some part of her panty-clad body. And just as important, she had the luxury of looking away when it got too embarassing.
Unfortunatly there were a few parts of her change that were impossible to ignore.
Even without them she would probably draw stares like flies to honey, (she cringed at the idea) but at their ridiculous size her breasts pretty much defined her.
If she hadn't retained her old strength their weight would probably be impossible to handle and even with it she could already feel the slight strain they put on her back.
Even worse: They'd be impossible to hide even under baggy clothing. she would be 'that girl with the huge udders' to most of the school. The first people would think about when her name fell, woudn't be her skills or accomplishments but a part of her anatomy.
Mei-Lynn cringed as she imagined what that would mean for her social life. The envy of the girls, the stares of the boys and all the harrasment that might spring from it.
A vivid vision of a lockerroom filled with girls that constantly called her Miss Melons, sprang to her mind unbidden.

The former boy tried to convince herself that stuff like that would only happened if she allowed herself to be a victim, again.
But when she tried to think of ways to snuff out any harrasment at the root, she could vividly imagine how each and every one failed.
Trying to dress down, would make some girls resent her more, for catching the eye of boys without investing all the work other girls did. Besides there was only so much you could do when you had to wear a school-uniform. It also showed she had something to hide, that her breasts were a weakness to be exploited.
That's why they had taken to call her Miss Melons and Moo-Lynn. Making it very clear that she wasn't interested got the rejected guys to join in on the bullying in an effort to bring her down a peg. Fighting back only added 'Ogre/Oni' to the list of derogatories and earned her trouble with the teachers.
And then peer-pressure made it spiral out of control.
And it was roughly at this point that Mei-Lynn realised that these weren't visions of things to come but of something that had been. Not true memories but something close. People were just indistinct silhouettes without faces or names, rooms were just vague backdrops but most importantly they didn't feel like a part of her life.
The emotions they conjured up, where unfortunatly felt very real: the anger, the frustration, the helplessness and a dozen feelings that were harder to pin down, all swirling together into some unpleasant emotional cocktail.

So Kevin had seen fit to make sure she sorta-remembered the worst time of Mei-Lynns life, fantastic! A bit of mental probing showed that Mei-Lynn also remembered the layout of the Hirakawa-Highschool, the names of a few teachers, some details of day-to-day school life. But dwelling on these things always led to more Mei-mories (as she'd taken to calling them) of the fictive bullying croping up. Thinking of the lockerroom for example made her sorta-remember returning from gym to find all her clothes replaced by a cowbell on a leather-collar.
And with all these fake memories centering around Mei-Lynns chest, parading around in the nude felt worse by the second.

With a groan she sank down unto the bed and snatched up her discarded shirt. When the shirt did nothing to quench the feeling of being on display, she wrapped the thin sheet around her to hide her figure from imaginary peeping-toms. .
As she sat there, cursing Kevins name, Mei-Lynns gaze fell on the backpack beside her bed.
She wasn't in any hurry to find out what else Kevin had in store for her, but right now going through her belongings was a welcome distraction from the visions of sexual harrasment her brain coughed up at the mention of peeping toms.

She had already noticed the laptop back in the choir room, a compact black device with a few white spots marking the places where decorative stickers had been pulled off. She had never been into computers so she sat it aside for later examination.
A small bag was next, it contained a toothbrush, scrunchies, a razor and.... . The bag was set aside too, until the moment the newly-minted girl felt up to deal with feminine hygiene.
A book was next, some romcom or slice-of-life-story going by the cover. Not really her cup of tea, but she was curious what kind of books the ...other?/real? Mei-Lynn liked, so she paged through it.
It took her a few pages before the realization set in '(Jap.)I'm speaking Japanese!'

In hindsight it was pretty obvious, if Kevin had messed with her mind so she knew about a fictional japanese high-school of course he'd make her speak Japanese! She'd been so preoccupied with fighting down the horrible memories, she hadn't even realised all the dialog was in Japanese.
Mei-Lynn spent some time reciting movie-lines in Japanese, marveling how smoothly she could switch between English and Japanese. She hardly had to think about it at all. And the book turned out to be half decent as well. Giving him a book about a supernatural force turning the lifes of some students upside down, was probably Kevins idea of a joke. It was a good read nonetheless.
With her emotions calming down, Mei-Lynn found herself yawning more and more as she read the first chapter, until she finally laid the book down and gave in to exhaustion.
