Ronald continued down the hall beside the shifting Leonard, who now besides a few key details looked very much like a beautiful young woman. "So you built your own personal DDR machine. That must have been expensive," he remarked.
Leonard considered this, cutely biting a pastel blue nail as he did. "Yes, I suppose it must have been," he said. "I guess I didn't really think about that. I was busy putting together the rest of the arcade."
"The arcade?" mused Ronald, cocking an eyebrow.
Leonard blushed. His clothes were shifting now-- his pants rose up his legs, the hem fusing with the bottom edge of his shirt. The body beneath continued to shift as well, his skin growing paler than it usually was already but shifting from a sallow, pasty look to a milky, graceful color. Cute arches that matched his cascade of now bright red hair furrowed momentarily, before he offered an explanation. "I've been putting a classic arcade together in my house. Finding and buying old machines, fixing them when I have to. I guess the whole thing is expensive, but I haven't really payed much attention to that. Daddy's been footing the bill."
Ronald had to stifle a laugh at that. To imagine Leonard would be talking like that even yesterday would seem absurd. And yet here he is, and it sounds perfectly normal from him. The young man was no doubt not far off from completing his changes, Ronald realized. Time to focus in.
Karyn frowned, as she watched Ronald walk down the hall with Leonard. What was with this guy's luck? First Mandy, now he's talking to Leonard? What were they seeing in this guy? And, more importantly, when would they let up to give Karyn the chance to talk to him?
Karyn frowned, crossing her arms under her sizable chest as she considered her options. Her outfit had continued to shift, how a fairly tight sweater over a modest skirt. It was a cute outfit and, though Karyn did not realize it, much more feminine than the one she started out with that day. But no, it was not enough. If she wanted to catch Ronald's eye when she had the likes of Many and Leonard to contend with, she'd need to up her game.
Karyn groaned, as she realized what she was getting ready to do. It turned her stomach just thinking about it, but it was her surest bet to ensure she'd get noticed. Detouring from Ronald and his companion, and from her next class, Karyn hurried over to another locker. Thankfully, its owner was still there.
"Karyn," said Sarah, sounding mildly surprised to see the other girl's approach. "What do you want?"
"Your help, actually," confessed Karyn, blushing in shame at the thought that she needed this bitch's assistance at all. "I need to catch a boy's eye Think you could do that?"
Sarah considered this for a long, long moment. As the pause dragged on, Karyn was worried the other girl might laugh at her request in the face. Instead she said, "Alright, fine. I'll help you. Wait, it's not that Jon boy, is it?"
Karyn sighed. "No, Sarah, it's not Jon."
"Oh good. Well then yes, I'll help you," announced Sarah. "Anything for family."
