While the new Jess headed down the hall, Kevin admired the view. He had to admit, the stone had made her a very cute girl, not a Sarah-level beauty, but certainly above average. With her pleasantly soft facial features and long brown hair hanging down to her trim waist, she would never be mistaken for a boy named Jon. She had the classic girl-next-door appeal with her slender curves and modest-sized breasts, all wrapped in a simple blue tank-top, black skirt, and matching blue tennis shoes.
Swallowing a sudden lump in his throat, the wannabe Romeo could only hope he could make this relationship work.
It was lucky he happened to run into Jon of all people. Being a fellow "normal" person, Kevin considered him a decent sort, easy-going, friendly, and unassuming. Sadly, due to Sarah labeling him a geek, the poor guy had been consigned to the edges of the crowd, picked on by jocks and ignored by most girls (at least those that weren't tomboys like Karyn).
Kevin felt determined to make Jess's life as his girlfriend a lot better than Jon's old one as a social outcast. Besides, he counted it a good omen that the guy, himself, had provided the means for his own transformation. Maybe, this was meant to be.
He realized, of course, that he could just as well wish for the girl to fall in love with him. However, that would only reinforce the idea that a normal guy like him could never get a hot girl on his own merit.
As a self-confessed romantic fool, his personal formula for love consisted of two things: personality and pursuit. The stone had already taken care of ensuring him a girl with the right personality. Now, he only had to pursue her.
Just wait, Jess, he promised to himself. I'm gonna be the best boyfriend a girl could ask for.
