"Jon, you turned into a girl!" Athena gasped.
"I've always been a girl," the redhead said. "And my name is Jen. Not Jon."
"No, just a moment ago, you were a boy named Jon. Someone just used the stone to change reality. I'm wearing the necklace, remember? So my memories don't change. I remember how you were before the wish."
Jen knew that she could be right. She knew how the stone worked. If she didn't hear the wish, then she wouldn't know if reality had changed or not. But it was so weird to know that she used to be a boy. What would that even be like? She really wasn't too curious about it, though. She was perfectly fine with being a girl. But now that she knew that it wasn't the way things were supposed to be ... it all kind of felt, well, fake. Even though she wouldn't even have noticed that anything was different, if Athena hadn't told her. But even so, she still had no interest in being a boy.
"We've gotta find that stone before something else happens," Athena said.
