Jon thought about it, then decided to keep the necklace where it was.
"I think it's better if you keep it," Jon told Athena. "For all you know, you might disappear without the necklace, and all of this would be for nothing. We really do need your help, Athena."
"Okay. But if Jon disappears, don't say I didn't warn you," Athena said.
"Well, if Jon disappears, I probably won't even remember that he existed in the first place," Karyn pointed out.
Athena shrugged.
"Okay, then," Jon said. "If you were going to look for a magic artifact, where would you look first?" he asked Athena.
