As Steve made his way to his locker, he looked over his shoulder to make sure no one was following him. Ever since he found the wishing stone, he had become increasingly paranoid. Sure, he made it so Jon (or rather Jenna) couldn't get to it, while there were other people present anyway, and he made Karyn's memory of the stone disappear, but he still felt like someone might be watching. It might have been silly, but this was the most powerful thing in the world, maybe even the universe. Steve had a right to be overly cautious.
He opened his locker and took out the wishing stone, smiling to himself as he did so.
