Kelly Watson looked into the bathroom mirror as her mouth gaped at the young lady looking back at her. There she was, ten years younger than she should be and dressed like a student.
Her mind raced. Could she be dreaming? Could she have fallen asleep grading papers? Maybe she fell and hit her head. Maybe she tripped on that rock. The rock, she thought! She had just made a wish that she wasn't a teacher! Could it have possibly come true?
Luckily for Kelly, she still grasped the stone in her hand.
"Here goes nothing," she said to herself, trying to thing of a test wish that wouldn't cause too significant a change. "I wish my shirt was black."
Almost instantaneously, Kelly looked down to see that the wish had taken effect. Her shirt was black now!
"I wish I was a teacher again," she said. But nothing happened.
"I wish my shirt was blue," she said. But again, nothing happened.
A sense of dread began to dawn on Kelly as she realized the rock's rules.
