Alena watched and watched as someone who supposedly had just become her boyfriend had decided to have sex, by magic, with another person. She grabbed Steve's hand and touched the stone. The few seconds it took for Steve to realize that the girl he had completely ignored for the past few minutes was doing this was enough for her to stammer out four syllables. "I wish you'd sleep."
Steve instantly fell to the ground and his power went away. In shock, Alena took the stone from the crazy, dangerous, jock and tried to figure out an appropriate thing to do to him for playing with her feelings. He could make her hot for him, but she could do much worse in return now that she had the stone.
Then Jeff saw things starting to go bad and decided he'd interfere. Steve had given both himself and Jeff the ability to make people hot for them, right? He needed to use it on Alena and then maybe he'd get the magic stone.
Alena caught Jeff staring at her. She had the presence of mind to toss the stone to Jon just as Jeff used his own version of the power. She was insanely attracted to Jeff and wanted nothing more than to get Jeff in her pants. She would have done anything to have sex with Jeff, even given up the stone... but she had given up the stone already. Just in time.
The magic stone had returned to the hand of the boy it was meant for to begin with. Jon thought over the possible wishes in his head and finally said "I wish you'd all stay still until I want you not to. I wish Steve would wake up, too."
Everyone stopped, seemingly rooted to the floor. Steve stayed asleep (since waking him would reverse a wish) and Jon had to give his limp form a shove to wake him.
"What should I do, Alena?" asked Jon.
"I don't know. Think of something. Just make sure they can't give magic roofies to anyone."
"I understand," said Jon. "First of all, I don't think I can get rid of that power completely, but I wish that if Steve or Jeff tries to use their power on anyone except each other, they'll fall asleep."
"And revenge too!" exclaimed Alena.
"I..." said Jon. "I don't know if I should."
"Turn them into girls. That's what that stone does, right?"
"It does lots of things," said Jon.
"I didn't do anything!" yelled Jeff. "I just watched!"
"Is that true?" asked Jon.
"It is," said Alena.
"Okay," said Jon. "I wish that whenever Steve tries to mistreat anyone, he'll want to be a girl for the next day."
Alena looked at him, expecting more.
"Look," said Jon, "he hurt me a lot more than you, but I don't know what else I can do. I need to wipe their memories of the stone. It's not safe having them know it. But if I wipe their memories, how can I punish someone who doesn't remember what he did? He'd just think he had bad things happen to him for no reason. And if he doesn't know why it's happening, the first thing he'd do would be to tell someone, unless I make another wish to stop that, and we're getting into having to make wishes on top of wishes to keep other wishes from going bad. I don't want to do that, either. This is the best I can think of. Sorry, Alena."
"Sorry I can't have revenge?"
"Sorry for that... and sorry for doing this to you. I wish all three of you would forget about the stone, forget what happened here, and be where you'd normally be now."
Jon found himself back in the classroom, writing something in his notes as if he had never left. Steve, Jeff, and Alena were out of sight but probably in the hallway or in other classes. He had the stone back, but the situation was far from good. He still would have to get rid of the thong and pants. And there was, of course, nothing he could do to reverse the change to his own anatomy. Which, since the stone changed reality, everyone thought was normal....
