Steve didn't quite get Jon's wish right. Since wishes change reality, people thought Jon was always like that. Therefore, the wish about people finding out didn't matter anyway. But the wish was close enough. As Jon entered the classroom again and headed for his seat, he felt himself getting bloated. Why had Steve done that? But he couldn't quite remember how Steve did it. It was some kind of magic, but Jon couldn't remember what.
Meanwhile, Alena had managed to touch the stone in Steve's hand. "I wish you'd give me that magic stone!"
Steve's grasp suddenly relaxed and Alena took it. Then he immediately grabbed Alena's wrist to force her to give it back again. He didn't really want to hurt her but he had to make her give the stone up.
"I wish you'd let me keep this stone!"
This time it worked. Steve recoiled. "I can't believe it," said Alena. "All of a sudden I'm crazy about you but the way you're acting is just... as much like a creep as possible. Having sex with someone else in front of me. I don't know why you turn me on like this..."
"Wait a minute," said Jeff. "We know why. Hint, hint."
"I get it!" exclaimed Steve. "If this is all based on jealousy, there's no reason to stay jealous. Alena, you can stop wanting me right now."
Alena gulped. Suddenly it was all different. She never liked sports players anyway--why had she wanted Steve? Steve had done something to her. Using this magic stone to make her attracted to him. "You're right," she said. "I'm not jealous any more. But I still don't like the whole situation. If you're going to be like this with Jon, here's my wish."
