Jane stared at the note in Karyn's hand, which she was certain she hadn't written before the switch.
"Karyn," she said, "What's going on here?"
"Well, uh, since you made the wish and Jon didn't hear the wish being made, he thinks-" she was cut off by the front door opening. Karyn and Mrs. Duncan could only stare as Jon stood in the doorway wearing a sharp women's business suit and heels. He scowled as he strolled in the door and set the purse that was hanging off his shoulder on a table by the door.
"Hi Jon," he said, "Oh, hi Karyn. You'll never believe the horrible day I had!"
Jane tried speaking, but couldn't get any words to come out. Karyn was somewhat cooler, and tried talking to Jon. "What happened, Mrs. Duncan?"
"My boss made a pass at me! Can you believe it? I mean, I'm one of the older women in the secretarial pool, but that pervert Jennings just wouldn't let up. First he complemented my outfit, which I thought was nice, until later when he called me into his office to take a memo, and he just tried sticking his hand up my skirt! I can't believe some people. So, I just left. I just hope they don't fire me, I mean I caused quite a scene. But who wouldn't? He deserved it, if you ask me. But if you don't mind I'm going to go change. Jon, in a few minutes be ready to go with me to pick up your sister." Jon walked and Jane nearly collapsed until Karyn caught her.
"Karyn, what's wrong with Jon? Why is he acting like me?"
"It's the wish you made. You wished to trade places, so you did. You're in his place and he's in yours. But since you're the only one who heard the wish when you said it, everyone else thinks that his behavior is normal, and he thinks he is you. We need to find the rock and try to fix this. Where could Jon have put it."
"Well, if he were me, he'd probably just throw it in my purse, I put all kinds of junk in there." They walked over to the table that the purse was on, and Jane opened it up...
