"I wish that when I wanted my body to be like Jon's, it referred only to the body itself and not to the pregnancy, so I never was pregnant. I also wish that Jon's current body would turn into his familiar male body, that his pregnancy would magically be in suspended animation in a small box on his dresser, and that he could change either of those with future wishes."
"What?" said Jon. "Oh... that worked!" he said, hearing his voice and then examining his male body. "But Mom, why did you do that?"
"I'm not going to force an abortion on my son without his consent. So I'm leaving it alive, and you can do anything you want." She handed the rock back to Jon.
"Well, you see..." Jon was explaining to Karyn what had happened.
"You're kidding. You're kidding!" she said.
"I'm not. The pregnancy's just a couple of cells, and it's right there in that little box until I figure out what to do with it." He pointed to a two inch black box on his dresser, which semeed to have no handles or other ways of being opened. "At least it isn't urgent any more. Everything's fixed. So, Karyn, did you have any good ideas for what we could do with the stone?"
