Ali Sheik ushered the women out of the house and into his luxury ride. "Karyn, my dear, you ride in front with me while my wives tend to their gossip."
Jon and Jane were clad head to toe in burkas, which Jon was struggling to adjust comfortably. The radio blared Persian Techno as the wives of Ali Sheik whispered together in the back seat.
Jon was uncomfortable in several ways. "Mom, how can you wear this robe so easily?" said Jon, squirming in the outfit.
Jane thought a moment, "My memories are so confused it's hard to know. I think I've been wearing the burka longer than you." She thought some more. "I married Ali a year ago. When I didn't conceive for him, he turned his attentions to you. You and Ali were married three months ago and now we're both pregnant. That's why we're going to the doctor."
Jon shuddered, "Uugh! We're both married to the same man. How could we?"
"The Rock must have interpreted Karyn's wish for us not to be single mothers in the simplest way and created one husband instead of two!" Jane replied.
The car stopped abruptly. "Here we are, ladies, Dr. Memen Salim, my close friend and doctor." Ali announced, then nudged Karyn, "Only the best care for my women and their precious cargo." In the office as they waited for their appointment Karyn sidled closer to Ali, her thoughts on retrieving the Rock. 30 minutes must be close to up and she would be able to wish again if only she could get it back.
A burka-clad nurse opened the door to the waiting room. "Mrs. Ali Sheik. Time for your complete examination. Ah -- there are two of you. Who's going to be first?"
