Thinking about Jon's body and Jon's mom mind in it, Jon picked up the rock. "I wish that my mom, Jane, in my body, Jon, does not have any problems at school today, does at least as well as I would in my test, and will be calm this afternoon after school."
Meanwhile, at the high school ..
Jane had been struggling all day to try and figure out what was going on. She had reached the conclusion that she had somehow become her son. While she was sure how this had happened, it had. That or she was totally crazy, in which case it didn't matter anyway.
Assuming that she was still sane (but still harboring a bit of doubt about that), Jane tried to fit into Jon's life.
Once again she wished that her son had taken the time to explain more about what his life at school was about. She was glad that for all his faults, Jon was a bit more organized than most of his friends.
In his notebook Jon had recorded his class schedule, room numbers, and teacher's names. Jon was not near the top of the social ladder, so she didn't have to try to guess names as she walked the hall between classes.
After surviving the two periods of the day as Jon, Jane headed to Jon's next class. Jane was more than willing to admit that she was a bit uncomfortable about having to take PE. While her interest in men was toward those who were both physically and mentally more mature than Jon's classmates, she wasn't sure how this change would affect her.
Just as Jane's hand reached for the door to the boy's changing room, Jon made her wish from home and a sense of calm settled into Jane's mind. 'I can do this.' Jane told herself as she boldly went where she had never gone before.
