"I just wish I was a girl."
Amber had a strange tingling feeling in her body and then it started to expand and contract. She felt breasts growing out again, her hips changing size; everything about her became female again.
She got up and walked around, searching for a mirror. She found one hanging up in the bathroom and looked at herself. She was female again, but the body wasn't her own. It was still another person's. Another person who at least had nice long hair and a good figure, and was well-dressed in blouse and skirt, but it was high school age and didn't look like herself at all.
"Jen," yelled a voice from the outside, "you're not trying to use the water, are you? It isn't going to be fixed until the plumber gets here!"
Jen? But she was a boy before. Then she realized how the stone worked. Not only was her body female, but Jon's mother thought she always had a daughter.
Suddenly a loud sound came from her pocketbook. For a second she was confused, but then she realized it must be a cell phone.
She took it out and answered it.
"Hello?" said a familiar-sounding voice. She couldn't place the voice--until she realized it must be her own voice, but heard from another person's mouth. The call must be from Jon in her body--they must have swapped bodies!
"My name's Jen! I'm in your body by mistake! Please, do you have a small reddish stone?"
"Sure I do," said Amber in Jen's body. But why had the person in her body called herself Jen, instead of Jon? There was only one answer. The wish made other people think the wish had always been true. Jon's mother now thought she had a girl. And Jon now thought he was a girl.
"Okay!" said the voice. "It was an accident! I'm not a body thief or anything like that! But I finally figured out how to change back. Hold the stone and say...."
