Someone knock on the door and Karyn's mother, Fanny, yell in the house.
"Karyn, the door ! I'm watching desperate housewives, I can't go !"
Karyn's mom, was on the welfare benefits and she was watching any soap on the TV. Her father left them after she tell her family about her pregnancy. Saying something like "I won't let you all, sluts, take any more of my money." before he just disapeared. No divorce, no indication were he's gone, nothing.
So now, Beth, Karyn's big sister, was working at the bar of the town to bring money for the familly. Karyn was pretty much sure, she also prostitute herself to keep them out of the misery.
So yeah, Fanny in front of the TV and Beth with one of her 'friends', Karyn put her baby in the cradle and answer the door.
It was the mailman.
"Beth is not there..." Karyn said.
"Oh... hum... I'm not here for her..." he says embarassed. "It's a package for you..."
And he gaves her a small box, she sign the paper and the mailman goes away.
"What's that ?" yell Fanny from the living room.
"Hum... nothing... the mailman..." Answer distractly Karyn.
"Again ? Always around your sister... I'm sure he want to put his hand in her pants..." She yell again.
Karyn murmur for herself as she walk to her bedroom. "I'm sure he already have put more than his hands."
She sit on her bed, and open the box. In it there was a pendant made of a large triangular stone.
And a letter.
*Dear Karyn,
I can't completely excuse the behave of my grandson, what he have done is inexcusable. That's why I want you to have this pendant before I pass out.
Treat it with care, it does not look much, but has immense power. I have entrusted it to you to be its keeper and guardian now that I am gone.
I found the stone on my latest expedition to South America and I believe it to be of Incan origin. How it works, or where it came from beyond that, I have no idea. All I can tell you is how it works and trust you to use it wisely.
Bear with me on this next bit; I know it sounds fantastic, but trust me when I tell you that I am telling the truth. All I say is real and it will not take much experimentation for you to prove it.
While holding the pendant on you, simply use the words 'I wish' followed by whatever it is you want the stone to do. There is no limit to the number of times you can do this, as far as I can divine, but beware for the words of a wish can be reinterpreted but not changed once the breath is over. The stone has great power, but is not unlimited. Changes made will be as if it has always been so, apart from for those within earshot of the wish or out of the range of influence of the stone. This range I estimate at several miles, but I fear I have not been able to determine an exact figure.

Karyn tooks the pendant in her hand and look at it in detail.
"At least it's cute, I surely keep it on me..." She said.
