Thinking that the stone might still be in his cubicle (his former cubicle), Jon left the office and checked. At first, he walked normally, but then after he stumbled a few times on Sarah's high heels, he decided to walk a little slower and more carefully.

As he approached the cubicle, though, he saw that someone else was occupying it. And as he got closer, he saw himself!

I must have switched bodies, Jon thought. I now have Sarah's body and Sarah now has mine.

He slowly walked towards the cubicle, but then stopped when he saw Karyn approach Sarah and talk to her (him?) in a friendly way. Did Karyn even know that that wasn't really him?

Karyn looked up and made eye contact with Jon, then said to Sarah "The boss is coming. Look busy." Then she left the cubicle and quickly walked away.

Jon then approached the cubicle, which before his wish was his. "Sarah," he said. It was still so weird hearing Sarah's voice instead of his own.

She looked up at him. "Sorry, Ms. McMillan. It's just taking a little longer to get my stuff together. I'll be gone soon."

"What are you talking about?" Jon asked.

Sarah looked puzzled. "You fired me."

Then it occurred to him. She didn't know that she was Sarah. She thought she was Jon ... him.

But if Sarah now had his mind, then what happened to Sarah's mind? Did it still exist deep down in her head (or even in Jon's head)? Or was it gone forever? Sarah may have been a total bitch, but he never wanted her dead. And that's what this felt like. It felt like he killed her.

"Ms. McMillan?" Sarah asked, breaking Jon out of his thoughts.

"Yes?"

"I'm going now." Sarah stood up, grabbed her stuff (which was actually Jon's stuff) and left the cubicle.

Jon stood there, watching her leave, and when she was gone, he ducked into the cubicle to look for the stone.
