Suddenly, Jon had the urge to shut his eyes, and when he opened them, he saw that he was in a completely different place. But it was one that was familiar to him. In fact, he was just there a few minutes ago.
It was the corner office belonging to his boss Sarah McMillan. But how did he get there?
While looking around the room, he spotted the name plate on Sarah's desk. But it didn't say "Sarah McMillan". Instead, it said "Jon Gibson".
"What the hell? Why is my name on there? What's going on?"
Someone knocked on the door and came in. He turned around and saw that it was one of the other executives. His name was Steve Farber.
"Jon, remember, there's a corporate meeting at eleven," he said. Then he left.
Now this was getting weird. Not only did Sarah's office seem to belong to Jon, but Steve treated him as though he was his equal.
Jon checked his watch, to see what time it was, and that was when he saw that his clothes had changed. A suit and tie, but not one of his. These looked a lot more expensive.
It was almost as if he had taken over Sarah's job. But how was that possible? Things like that didn't just happen. It was imposs ...
He suddenly remembered the stone. The stone that was in that package. It glowed and the next thing he knew, he was here, like this. He tried to think what he was doing before the stone glowed. He was mad that he got fired and wished that he was the boss.
That was it. It had to be. He made a wish and it came true. Normally, that would sound insane, but he had proof that it happened.
But where was the stone now? He was holding it when it glowed, so he should still have it, right? He looked around the office, thinking he might have dropped it accidentally, but he couldn't find it.
