As she handed him back his wishing rock, she said, "I wish you would sign up as a member here. Girl's your age should start taking care of themselves. Waiting until you are my age makes it so much harder."
'Just great.' J.J. thought to himself. 'Not only am I more girl than guy, but now I am going to sign up as a member of a Women's Only gym.'
When J.J. left the lady's changing room he met Karyn, who was talking to a lady at the front desk.
"Hi, J.J. Ready to go?" Karyn asked.
"You should really ask her?" The lady behind the front desk told Karyn.
"Ask me what?" J.J. asked.
"This month is our membership drive month. If you join this month, you and Karyn can be members for three months for the price of one. And if you join today, we will add three more months for a total of six months."
"What does normal membership cost?" J.J. asked, trying not to noticed the surprised look on Karyn's face.
Ten minutes later, J.J. left with her very own membership card to Curves.
"Why did you sign up, J.J.?" Karyn asked. "You are a guy."
"I didn't have any choice. Mrs. Robertson ran into me in the changing room. She wished I would sign up as a member of Curves. So I have. Besides, this way, it will look like I am really a girl so maybe I won't become a girl to comply with Justin's wish."
"Oh. I had forgotten about his wish. It didn't change you into a girl, did it?"
"No. At least not yet." J.J. said. "Let's head home."
