I felt myself being pulled out of my body and thrown through some dimensional vortex of some sort, and when all the spinning stopped I was screaming and hugging someone.

I stopped screaming to figure out what was going on, but the next thing I knew I was knocked to the ground and found myself at the bottom of a pig pile with about five other guys on top of me.

Everyone was screaming. "Fuck yeah!" "Nice shot Stu!" "There we go!"

Finally the commotion died down and I was helped up. I was surrounded by a bunch of young soccer players and, looking down at myself, saw that my own body was adorned in a matching white and blue jersey, shorts and shin guards under my socks.

Standing on the field in the middle of the packed stadium, I quickly realized what had happened. Karyn and I must have been transported into this Olympic soccer game since that's what she was watching. Oh no, Karyn!

A quick look around and I saw one of the players looking rather confused. He shouted out, "What happened? Jon?"

None of the other players gave too much notice to the odd comment, they must have thought their teammate was just messing around, so I quickly ran over to him.

"Karyn? Is that you?" I asked.

"Who are you and how do you know my name? Where's Jon" he said, exasperated.

"Look, I am Jon, I made a wish and, well this isn't exactly how I wanted it to turn out, but just play along," I responded.

"What did you do Jon? Where are we, why do you look like someone else and why am I here? And why am I the only girl here?" the man continued.

"Listen, we're in an Olympic soccer game. Everyone else sees you as a soccer player so no one thinks you're out of place. That's why you see me as someone else, but when I look down, I see my own body. Please just play along, we'll fix this later," I hurriedly explained.

"But I can't play soccer!" Karyn screamed, attracting a few strange glances from the other players on the field.

The ref suddenly blew his whistle. "Hey let's move it," he yelled.

"Don't worry, Karyn, you'll be fine," I said under my breath before sprinting away.

I ran past the ball and kicked it towards Karyn with the pinpoint accuracy of the soccer player who's body I now possessed.

Without even thinking, Karyn performed a perfect trap with her chest and unleashed a kick that traveled all the way to midfield. The soccer player looked first in disbelief before a smile of recognition crept across his face as the ref blew the whistle to resume the game.
