"I think we should split up," Jon said suddenly. She had no idea what had provoked the thought, but knew it was the best thing to do.
"Why?" Karyn asked with a frown.
Jon paused to consider it. "Because we should act in character if we expect to get back, and we can cover more ground if we split up." It made sense.
"You mean, actually kill vampires?" Karyn asked skeptically. "Doesn't that seem dangerous?"
"Not for Buffy and Angel," Jon argued. "As main characters, we have the advantage."
"I guess that makes sense," Karyn admitted. "If we don't see each other until after dawn, I'll be at, uh, the Magic Box, okay?"
"Okay," she agreed. "See you later."
They walked away in opposite directions.
What am I doing? Jon wondered some time later. I'm certainly not looking for vampires. Well, maybe one vampire. She still couldn't get her mind off Spike. Her mouth watered as she pictured Spike's chiseled form, and with one hand she began to reach under her skirt...
"Whoa!" Jon cried in Buffy's voice, quickly retracting her hand. I can't be doing this... in a GIRL'S body... about a guy! Jon wasn't into guys! Except that she knew Buffy was, and for the time being she was Buffy. Accepting this, the notion of liking guys wasn't that hard to swallow, especially as she couldn't help from mentally undressing Spike.
What was that quote, "Slaying makes you hungry and horny,"? While she didn't feel that hungry, there was no question if she was horny. Was it really so bad to try to releive such tension? Yes, no, maybe?
"Hey, Buffy."
Jon looked up startled as she was approached by a young teenager she recognized as Buffy's little sister Dawn. "Uh, hi, Dawn..." she said uncertainly as she tried to regain her composure. "What are you doing here?"
"Spike wanted me to give you these," Dawn cheerily held up a pair of handcuffs. "He said to put them on behind your back before coming into his crypt. A little too kinky for my tastes, but I know you'll enjoy it. Have fun!" She handed Jon the cuffs and headed back the way she came - toward a crypt.
Jon watched as Dawn entered the crypt and knew that that was where Spike had to be. This is crazy, she thought as she stared at the cuffs. I can't really... with a GUY! But as she thought about what it would be like to have sex with Spike, she slipped the cuffs on behind her back and headed for the crypt.
