"If you say so," replied Karyn. "It is strange--nobody else is a girl on only half of their body."
"Let me guess," said Jon. "I've always been like this, so I'm a cheerleader? I have a boyfriend? I joined the Girl Scouts? I don't have to put up with that." Jon got the stone out of his jean pocket--fortunately, he hadn't picked the skirt--and spoke another wish.
"I wish that the lower half of my body only became female today, and that reality hasn't changed, even for Karyn. I wish the same for my clothes."
Karyn suddenly reached for Jon's hand to take the stone. "No!"
"Wait!" yelled Jon. "What are you doing? I said reality hasn't changed. You should remember me as me, right? Everyone just thinks me and my clothes suddenly turned part female for no reason. I may have to use the stone again to keep my parents from panicking but it should work like I said."
Karyn sighed. "Keep your stone. It's too late, anyway. I do remember you now, Jon, but your small penis wish wasn't the screwup. That was the screwup."
"What are you talking about?"
"You can modify wishes, right? If you just modified your first wish to say that it made your penis bigger, it would have fixed everything. But you made a new wish. Making your penis bigger wouldn't reverse the first wish, but it would reverse the new wish because in the new wish you said you're half female. Now you're really stuck."
