"It's easy," explained Jon's mother. "I'll tell you, as long as you...."
"No," said Jon. "No deals. It just occurred to me, if you can tell me, so can the stone. I wish to know how to get my dick back.... Ah, I get it now. Thank you stone, and no thank you, Mom." Jon placed the stone in his pocket, careful not to touch it while explaining. "You see, Mom, nobody ever said 'I wish Jon doesn't have a penis'. The wish was that Karyn didn't see my penis. I just have to wish that that happened in a way that's better for me." He reached into his pocket for the stone again and said "I wish that the reason Karyn hadn't seen my penis is that my penis turned temporarily invisible for a couple of minutes back then, but changed back to normal right afterwards." Jon didn't need to look into his pants to know that the feeling of his dick was back, but he couldn't resist stretching his pants and taking a peek anyway.
Somehow Jon's mother looked disappointed.
"And," added Jon, "I wish that there were a few other boys like me simply because there are a few normal boys, and I don't mean I want the other ones to be abnormal, either."
Somehow Jon's mother looked even more disappointed.
"Now, about that abuse of power stuff," said Jon. "I'm just 17. I didn't study years of philosophy and I don't know the technical words for it, but I know that when I say something's an abuse of power I'm not talking about a 'natural flow of events'. I'm talking about directly doing things to people, on purpose. Nobody gave Karyn the hair and breasts on purpose.
Jon continued, "Now, I know that wishes always affect someone else. But the whole world is like that. If you go to the store and buy a carton of milk, you've affected the next person--they can't buy that carton any more, they have to buy the next one. That's an effect, it's just a small effect that nobody cares about. But I can't say 'I'm affecting them anyway, so I may just as well shoot them and take both cartons'. It's the same with the wishes. Just because any wish affects other people anyway doesn't mean that there's no such thing as abuse."
"Do you realize what you're saying?" said Jon's mother. "What you're giving up?"
"Do you realize what you're saying?" retorted Jon. "Come to think of it, maybe you do. When I ordered you to tell me what's going on, I tried to argue with you. I think that might have ended the order. So I'm going to start again. I order you to tell me why you're trying to get me to abuse the power."
