"Hey Ashley!" says one of the goth girls.
It takes you a moment to realize they're talking to YOU! These are Ashley's weird, freaky goth friends and they really believe you're her. But if you're in Ashley's body, then does that mean she's in your body? For some reason, that thought sends shivers of panic down your spine.
"I, uh, I have to go," you say, stamping out your cigarette under the big, chunky heeled boots you now wear. You quietly slip the switching stone into Ashley's purse and then rush out the door.
"Where are you going?" calls one of the girls.
You ignore the gaggle of freshmen goth girls and run down the sidewalk as fast as you can in Ashley's silly little tight fitting skirt. You're trying to remember exactly the spot where you were when you discovered the stone in the first place. Shouldn't that be where Ashely is now, only trapped inside your body?
You keep running, almost out of breath now. Ashley's body is a lot smaller, younger, and weaker. Plus, she's a smoker (she hides it from your mom and dad, but the rest of the family knows). You wind up breathless and exhausted before long. Finally, you round a corner and spot a very familiar looking figure in the distance.
