Joseph glared at Karyn angrily, as if expecting her to go away. She managed to get the hint and she did, after glaring back. Then Joseph kissed Jon again and patted his female behind. It was, thought Jon, almost as if he was a girl all the way.
A minute later Joseph stopped and said "I'll see you tonight! Bye!" Jon's wish had extended the time between the two classes, but the next class was still coming up and Jon and Joseph both had to get going.
Later after school, Jon and Karyn were talking.
"I can't believe you and Joseph really kissed," said Karyn.
"What could I do?" replied Jon. "I couldn't very well run away. I can't believe you were getting jealous."
"I wasn't getting jealous, Jon." Despite what Joseph had said about dating Karyn, he and Karyn weren't really seeing each other at the moment. "Look, Jon, the whole thing's my fault in the first place. I can't really blame you for working with whatever your new life is like.
"Even if I'm on a date with Joseph?"
"You're on a date with Joseph?"
"I'm not sure, Karyn. He said 'I'll see you tonight' as if he was expecting us to be doing something."
"Maybe it's something else, like going to the school's football game or something."
"Maybe it is," said Jon. "But I know a way to find out. I wish I knew what Joseph and I were planning to do tonight now that I'm half woman." Jon groaned. "It is a date," he explained.
"You should go."
"He's a guy. I don't date guys."
"It seems like you do now. Let me borrow the stone..."
Jon held it back. "No! That's how I got into this mess to begin with."
"I was just going to wish you'd enjoy yourself on the date."
"I don't know," said Jon. "I could wish that there's some reason why I didn't have to go on the date. But I'll have to do it sooner or later unless I want to wish a breakup too. I admit I am a little curious... Okay. I wish that I'll enjoy my date with Joseph tonight. I also wish I was dressed appropriately for the date."
Jon's shirt changed to a nicer one--and his pants to a skirt, pantyhose, and heels. He felt his face and didn't have makeup or anything of the sort. He looked for all the world as if someone had taken the top half of a man and the bottom of a woman and attached them. He sighed. "I'm not so sure this is a good idea."
"So when's the date?" asked Karyn.
Jon looked at the clock. "I need to meet him in around a half hour. I suppose I'll see you tomorrow...."
"Have fun," said Karyn.
"I don't think I can avoid it," replied Jon.
