Megan looked bewildered for a moment, giving Jennifer the opportunity to head to the cashier with her shopping cart. She wasn't cutting in line anyway, so it was okay for her to go before Megan. Paying for her groceries, she looked back at Megan and saw that she still seemed sort of disoriented. But part of Jennifer didn't really care. She didn't really know what happened back there, but causing that woman some emotional distress made her feel a little good. She knew that was probably a rotten thing to think, but it was true. She felt like she had put that woman in her place.

What she didn't know was that she had done more than that. She had unknowingly implanted a thought into Megan's head, regarding her husband Jonathan. Every time she thought of her husband or saw her husband, she would always be reminded of her own father, a man she didn't really like all that much. She would eventually come to the decision to divorce Jonathan, not being able to cope with the constant reminders of her dirt-bag father. It would be hard to turn away from all that money, but there were plenty of other rich fish in the sea, right?

On her way home, Megan planned to stop off at her church to sign up for volunteer work. She always strove to do good for her church and the community as a whole. She was just that type of person.

Halfway to the church, she passed by a tattoo parlor. Nasty place. But seeing it caused her to have a strange feeling. I should get a tattoo sometime, she thought, before blinking. Where did that thought come from? Weird. Never in her life had she ever even considered doing something so ...

Dark, sinful ... fun? she thought again, a small smile forming on her lips. But then she frowned. She thought that, but for some reason, it didn't seem like it was really her. Well, of course, it wasn't her. She would never think that way. But it was coming from her own mind. She shook her head, then continued on towards the church, quickening her speed, wanting to put that strange moment out of her mind.
