Karyn explained the whole thing to Emily. "I don't know what to do, Emily. I'm not even sure who to believe. Joanne blamed it all on the rock, but even though the rock was involved it was really me who did it, with those pictures. We've got to do something.
"Yeah" said Emily. "This sounds bad. We could use the stone to fix it. You didn't wish them into that form, so you can change them if you're careful."
"But if I mess that up, I might not be able to fix it again. What if I wish them all happy and they turn into puppies? Maybe I should use the pictures instead. There's got to be a way to help them."
"I don't know" said Emily. "Last time you used the pictures it came out wrong, but you didn't even know it was wrong for weeks. What if you cause some other problem you don't know about? And besides, you haven't even talked to Jane about it yet. Maybe Joanne's exaggerating."
"I haven't... That's it! I could hug you for that."
"What's it, Karyn?"
"Talking! We've got to get them all together and let them and us talk it out. We'll probably have to use the stone at some point, but the biggest thing we need to do is to get Joan, Jane, and Joanne all talking to each other and willing to decide how to solve their problem. They used to be the same person, they should be able to be nice to each other."
